Most 109 fans will be familiar with the fantastic story of this aircraft, bellied into a coal yard by none other than

JG5 ace Horst Carganico, and retrieved MANY years later for restoration.  Full details of this story will be provided soon.

 

Today, of course, she rests in splendor at her new home- the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa, Canada (Thanks to Scott Taylor for the correction!).  As befits such a historic airframe, the quality of the restoration is absolutely top notch.
